An Enchanted Evening at Narcoossee’s: Fireworks, Fine Dining, and Family Magic

There are Disney dining experiences—and then there’s Narcoossee’s. Nestled on the edge of the Seven Seas Lagoon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, this charming waterfront restaurant delivered one of the most magical evenings of our entire holiday.
We’d booked our dinner reservation well in advance, and it couldn’t have been more worth it. As we arrived at the Grand Floridian, bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun, the elegance of the resort instantly swept us into Disney’s version of a fairy tale. From the white Victorian buildings to the gentle notes of piano music drifting through the lobby, we knew we were in for something truly special.
A Table with a View
We were lucky enough to be seated at a window table—you know the one—with a panoramic view across the lagoon to the Magic Kingdom. As the sky melted into shades of rose and indigo, we could already see the castle twinkling in the distance. The fireworks were still to come, but the magic had most definitely already begun.
An Unforgettable Meal
Now, let’s talk food—because honestly, it was exceptional. My husband ordered the Surf and Turf: a perfectly cooked fillet steak paired with a generous, succulent lobster tail. He’s quite particular about his steak, but this one was so tender and full of flavour, it quite literally left him speechless. The lobster was beautifully buttery and cooked to perfection—decadent but not too heavy.
I started with the lobster bisque, which was rich, silky, and utterly indulgent. For my main course, I opted for the seasonal fish dish, served with a delicate citrus beurre blanc and the freshest vegetables. Every bite was beautifully balanced and expertly prepared.
And the wine—oh, the wine. We chose a crisp, well-rounded Chardonnay that complemented our meals wonderfully. Sipping it as the sun dipped below the horizon felt like the very definition of holiday bliss.
Something Special for Our Little One
Our 10-year-old daughter was absolutely delighted by her meal, and I have to say—Narcoossee’s children’s menu is nothing short of fantastic. She chose the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and the portion was generous, the flavours gentle yet satisfying. She felt so grown-up being treated like a little VIP.
Her eyes lit up when dessert arrived—a make-your-own s’mores brownie, complete with marshmallows and chocolate sauce. There were giggles, chocolatey fingers, and a fair bit of marshmallow artistry involved. Pure joy.
Fireworks Without the Fuss
As our dessert plates were cleared, the lights dimmed gently and the iconic strains of Disney music filled the restaurant. The Happily Ever After fireworks show had begun, and from our perfect little window table, we watched the night sky explode in colour above Cinderella Castle.
There we were—no jostling crowds, no rush—just the three of us, sipping wine and mocktails, holding hands, and watching the magic unfold. The reflection of the fireworks on the water made it feel like something out of a dream.
A Night to Treasure
Our evening at Narcoossee’s wasn’t just a meal—it was a memory, lovingly wrapped in fairy lights and fireworks. The food was divine, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the setting? Absolutely enchanting.
If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World and fancy a truly special evening with your loved ones, make sure Narcoossee’s is on your list. Whether you're celebrating something, or simply looking to slow down and savour the moment, it’s the perfect spot to create magical memories that will stay with you long after the last sparkle fades from the sky.
