Why financial protection matters for your Disney holiday
A Disney holiday from the UK is a significant investment. For a family of four travelling for two weeks, the total cost can easily run into five figures. That is a lot of money to have at risk if something goes wrong.
When you book with Your Fairytale Holiday, your money is not sitting unprotected. Every booking we make is backed by both ATOL and ABTA protection, which means that whatever happens, you will not lose your holiday or your money. This page explains exactly what each scheme covers and what it means for you.

Air Travel Organiser's Licence
ATOL is a UK government backed protection scheme managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. It covers you when you book a flight-inclusive holiday package, flights plus accommodation, or flights plus other travel services sold together.
If the travel company you booked with ceases trading before or during your holiday, ATOL ensures two things. If you have not yet travelled, you get your money back in full. If you are already abroad, you are brought home at no extra cost to you.
When you book a flight-inclusive Disney holiday with Your Fairytale Holiday, you receive a formal ATOL Certificate confirming exactly what is financially protected. Keep this with your travel documents.
ABTA Protection
Association of British Travel Agents
ABTA is the UK's leading travel association. Your Fairytale Holiday is a trading name of Travelosophers, which is a fully registered ABTA member and proud member of the Advantage Travel Group.
ABTA protection applies to package holidays, such as a Walt Disney World holiday, a Disneyland Paris package, or a Disney Cruise sailing, and provides financial protection on your payments as well as access to ABTA's support and assistance if things go wrong.
ABTA membership also means your booking is governed by ABTA's strict Code of Conduct, covering how changes are handled, how complaints are resolved, and how you are treated as a customer from start to finish.
What this means for your family
The simplest way to think about ATOL and ABTA protection is this: if something goes wrong with the company you booked through, whether they stop trading, go into administration, or have to cancel your trip, you do not lose your money and you do not lose your holiday.
This matters more than most people realise. When you book directly through a website or a company that does not hold proper ATOL and ABTA registration, your money may not be protected in the same way. You could be left out of pocket with little or no recourse.

Is my Disney holiday automatically ATOL protected when I book with you?
Yes. All flight-inclusive holiday packages booked through Your Fairytale Holiday are ATOL protected under the Civil Aviation Authority scheme. You receive a formal ATOL Certificate confirming exactly what is protected. We are a trading name of Travelosophers, which holds the required ATOL and ABTA registration.
What does ATOL protection actually cover?
ATOL covers you if the travel company you booked with ceases trading. If this happens before you travel, you receive a full refund of the money you have paid. If it happens while you are abroad, you are flown home at no extra cost. It applies to flight-inclusive package, holidays that include both flights and accommodation booked together.
What does ABTA protection cover?
ABTA protection applies to package holidays and provides financial protection on your payments as well as access to ABTA support and assistance if something goes wrong. It also means your booking is governed by ABTA's Code of Conduct, which sets standards for how you are treated as a customer. Your Fairytale Holiday is registered with ABTA through Travelosophers.
Is my deposit protected from the moment I pay it?
Yes. Your money is protected from the point of payment, not just from the point of travel. Whether you have paid a deposit only or paid in full, your money is covered.
What happens if something goes wrong while I am at Disney World?
You contact me directly. I am available seven days a week from 09:00 to 21:00. If there is a problem with your booking, your resort, or anything related to your holiday while you are away, I will help you resolve it. You are not on your own.
