The Best Character Meet and Greets at Walt Disney World

Alex Perry • 28 March 2025
One of the most magical parts of a Walt Disney World vacation is meeting beloved characters in person. Whether you're hugging Mickey, chatting with a princess, or snapping a selfie with a rare favorite, these interactions make your trip extra special! Here’s my guide to the best character meet & greets across the parks, including tips to make them even more magical.

1. Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater (Magic Kingdom) ๐ŸŽฉโœจ
There’s nothing quite like meeting the mouse who started it all! Located just inside the entrance of Magic Kingdom, Mickey Mouse greets guests in his classic magician attire. Bonus: this location is indoors and air-conditioned—perfect for a break from the Florida heat.

โœจ Magic Tip: Visit early in the day or during parade times for a shorter wait!

2. Cinderella & Other Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall (Magic Kingdom) ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿฐ
Dreams come true here! You can meet Cinderella along with another visiting princess, or choose a separate line for Rapunzel and a special guest.

โœจ Magic Tip: Lightening Lane is available for this meet & greet, so use it if princesses are a priority!

3. Disney Junior Pals at Animation Courtyard (Hollywood Studios) ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ’ซ
Perfect for little ones, this meet & greet features characters like Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Vampirina. Seeing their favorite TV stars in real life is a memory they won’t forget!

โœจ Magic Tip: Pair this with a visit to the nearby Disney Junior Play & Dance show for extra fun!

4. Star Wars Characters at Galaxy’s Edge (Hollywood Studios) ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒŒ
If you’re a Star Wars fan, you must visit Batuu. Here, you’ll find characters roaming around rather than in traditional meet-and-greet spots. Rey, Chewbacca, and Kylo Ren might surprise you at any moment!

โœจ Magic Tip: If you want a guaranteed interaction, head to Launch Bay where Darth Vader, BB-8, and more have dedicated meet-and-greet spots.

5. Belle at Enchanted Tales with Belle (Magic Kingdom) ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŒน
More than just a meet & greet, this interactive experience lets guests help retell Belle’s story before meeting her. It’s great for kids (and adults!) who want a unique character interaction.

โœจ Magic Tip: Want your child to have a special role? Have them volunteer when the story begins!

6. Mirabel from Encanto (Magic Kingdom) ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿก
Mirabel is finally greeting guests at Fairy Tale Garden in Magic Kingdom, bringing the magic of Encanto to life. Her colorful backdrop is stunning, making this a must-visit spot!

โœจ Magic Tip: Her line gets long, so visit early in the day or close to park closing.

7. Donald & Friends at Mexico Pavilion (EPCOT) ๐ŸŒฎ๐Ÿฆ†
Donald Duck in his Three Caballeros outfit? Yes, please! This festive meet & greet is located just outside the Mexico Pavilion and is one of the most fun character interactions in EPCOT.

โœจ Magic Tip: After meeting Donald, head inside for a ride on Gran Fiesta Tour for more Caballeros fun!

8. Goofy & Pluto at EPCOT Entrance ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽˆ
One of the best hidden gems—just inside EPCOT’s entrance, you can meet Goofy and Pluto with Spaceship Earth as your backdrop! These two are full of energy and love to play around with guests.

โœจ Magic Tip: Since this spot is near the front, stop by early in the morning before heading deeper into the park.

9. Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams (Hollywood Studios) ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ’ƒ
If you love classic Hollywood glamour, this is a must! Minnie greets guests in her dazzling red carpet gown, making for a picture-perfect moment.

โœจ Magic Tip: Pair this with a visit to Mickey, who is also nearby in his Fantasia sorcerer outfit!

10. Winnie the Pooh at EPCOT’s UK Pavilion ๐Ÿฏ๐ŸŒณ
For a more unique meet & greet, visit Pooh Bear as he frolics in the gardens near the UK Pavilion. Unlike traditional meet & greets, this experience feels more spontaneous and whimsical.

โœจ Magic Tip: Since Pooh doesn’t have a set line, be patient and let kids watch as he plays before calling them over for a greeting!

Bonus: Seasonal & Rare Characters! ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽ„
Special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party feature rare characters like Jack Skellington, the Seven Dwarfs, and even Santa Claus. Keep an eye out for special holiday meet & greets!

โœจ Magic Tip: These characters can have long lines, so prioritize them early in the evening.

Final Thoughts
Meeting characters at Walt Disney World is more than just taking a photo—it’s about creating magical memories that last a lifetime! Whether you’re hugging Mickey, joining Belle’s story, or traveling to Batuu, every interaction is a sprinkle of Disney magic.
